Survive the Caribbean together – Survival: Fountain of Youth launches co-op for 2-4 players
Today, alongside Odinsoft, we are happy to launch a free co-op update for Survival: Fountain of Youth on Steam. This new mode invites groups of two to four players to experience the first chapters of the main survival story together across a sprawling and dangerous 16th-century Caribbean archipelago. Survival is a full-time job here, not a Caribbean holiday.
Assemble your crew and set out across untamed islands filled with ancient ruins, hidden caves, unpredictable weather, and wildlife that can turn a simple supply run into a very bad day. Build camps, hunt, farm, craft, and solve mysteries following the trail of an ill-fated expedition searching for the legendary Fountain of Youth.
The co-op mode arrives as a free update today for all existing owners of Survival: Fountain of Youth on Steam. Stay tuned for its release on the Epic Games Store in the coming weeks, and on PlayStation, and Xbox in 2027. And for anyone who has been waiting for the right moment to join the expedition, this is it: the game is 65% off on Steam from November 2 through November 16.
THREE REGIONS WITH DIFFERENT WAYS TO GET INTO TROUBLE.
The co-op update launches with the first three major regions from the campaign opening a substantial portion of Fountain of Youth’s world for groups to explore together.
- Bird Region – Island of Hope. A tropical paradise of turquoise waters, dense forest, mountain paths, and deceptively dangerous wildlife. Learn to survive, follow traces of past explorers and local peoples, and gather enough resources to build your first vessel and push deeper into the archipelago.
- Buffalo Region – Copper Island. A dry, hostile landscape where food is scarce and preparation matters. Explore smaller islands, search shipwrecks and hidden treasures, and mine copper to craft stronger tools while dealing with sharks, jaguars and unforgiving terrain.
- Puma Region – Iron Island. A gloomy volcanic island filled with lava, ancient ruins and valuable iron and coal. Explore the volcano, navigate ruined labyrinths and survive increasingly deadly wildlife.
FOUR SURVIVORS. SPLIT THE WORK.
Unlike the single player mode, the new co-op mode keeps the survival loop moving while letting teams divide responsibilities:
- Gathering and crafting happen instantly, costing energy instead of time.
- Players can split up to hunt, gather, build, explore or prepare supplies.
- Everyone manages their own energy bar, with upgrades improving efficiency.
- Rest still takes coordination: the whole group sleeps at the same time.
Yes, even surviving the 16th-century Caribbean requires organizing bedtime.
REBALANCED FOR FOUR
The update also reworks key systems for multiplayer:
- More generous resource availability across the world.
- Rebalanced progression and skills for co-op play.
- Resource management remains important without slowing the group down.
- The goal: less waiting, more exploring, surviving and getting into trouble together.
And this is only the beginning.
The game’s final two regions will be added to co-op in the coming months, one in Q4 2026 and the other in Q1 2027, while the team continues improving and expanding the multiplayer experience based on player feedback and suggestions.
NO EXCUSES. IT’S 65% OFF.
You are in luck, because there’s a very convenient excuse to recruit that one friend who keeps saying, “I’ll buy it when it goes on sale.”
To celebrate the Co-op Update, Survival: Fountain of Youth is 65% off on Steam for two full weeks, from November 2 through November 16.
Existing owners receive the co-op update at no additional cost.
So gather your crew, divide the supplies, choose who gets to build the shelter, and begin the search for eternal youth.
The co-op mode is currently available only on Steam and will be released on other platforms in 2027. Buy the game on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox.
